Particle Tracking

hi every one

using External Analysis,
In the MicroFlo Viewer, i tried to use the Particle Tracking to show the wind movements and directions around and within the model i created. the model is a room with opening in all sides

but, the paths that i created did not go through the opening that i made in ModleIT!! ,, seems that the microFlo ignore any Opening or even windows (assuming that the window is opened 24 hrs).

can you help me please ,, thanks in advance

Do you have any flows?

If not re-run your simulations with the macro/micro flo enabled.

yes i do have that. and when i use the window (open 24 hours), i can do the macroFlo but if i have openings i can't use MacroFlo.

also in MacroFlo i can specify the wind speed and direction in the the settings.

but again ,, why the Particle Tracking can not be shown go through the windows or opening?!! only around the building.

for example, i have courtyard surrounded by rooms eg. (a,b,c &d) and the rooms have opening in all sides, can i show the Particle Tracking going through the opening of room(a) than cross the courtyard and cross again the room(c) !!!???

Seems someone else might be able to explain this a little further. PCCully, Terrence or Complex seem to be pretty awesome with this sort of work.

Basit2010,

MicroFlo cannot look at a combination of internal and external flow.

When you are doing external analysis, the building is treated as a sealed block and only the flow over the building is analysed. If you want to look at the effect of flow coming in through MacroFlo openings, you will have to look at the particular room in the Internal Analysis mode.
