Useless info for all involved here: The only Irish regs we ever implemented were 2008 using NEAP (equiv of SBEM) so it shares the familiar interface to L2 SBEM rather than the advanced options ApacheSim offer (view Notional Building etc). We don't have a DSM for these regulations and to access you need a licence and VE 6.1.1x

I just tried VE 6.1.1.3 and used Edit Group Attributes in NEAP BER mode and it did update the rooms properly. Check you have VE 6.1.1.3 (Help >> About). There is no reason it wouldn't work

1. Select all your rooms
2. Click Edit Group Attributes
3. Building Regs tab >> tick the Air Permeability option and then enter desired value. Click ok
4. Select any single room that you had previously updated and click the Room Query button to open Room Data, Building Regs tab should now show the updated value

The non-domestic regs in Ireland havent been updated since 2008 so the software is till valid.

Thanks for your reply, I have achecked and I had v.6.1.1.1 so I will uninstall and install v6.1.1.3 and see if that solves the issue.

Another quick query there, when I click on 'room query', there is also the button called 'NCM lighting DATA', which when opened, allows me to enter in the lighting design for the proposed builindg. However I dont see to be able to assign this to the whole building at once, only on a room by room basis using room query.

Is there a shorter way to assign a lighting spec to the building within VE-Compliance?

And when I am satisfied that all the right spec has been assigned to the model, can I export or view a table which shows each zone and the various specification items assigned to each zone. The 'View Tabular Room Data' would be ideal but this doesnt seem to be available in v6.1.1.3 as it is in VE2012?

Hi,

NCM Lighting Data is the way to edit lighting parameters for a room when using the SBEM method (or NEAP). It has an option in Edit Group Attributes (tick the checkbox on the Building Regs tab and then click the button but beware that any changes made in the NCM Lighting Data dialog will be applied to all rooms in the selection).

The re is no tabular room data in this older version of VE sadly, if you run the SBEM calc then it will generate a Data Reflection (_DR.PDF) in the project regs folder, this can give a nice summary of model input data form an SBEM perspective at least.
