John,

Ive noticed where people have 'connected' adjacent spaces to make one space. (not merged) if they do not quite line up correctly, the notional will try to shove a window on the dodgy side. This has happened when I look at others models. For instance a square room with a triangular roof space, on the room below it wasnt exactly 'square', yet the roof was at its base. This left a shard which the notional put a window into. I only spotted it whilst waiting for the calc to run, just before it fell over. Its these mismatched geometries than create all the issues. I mean just draw it square!!! A bit of engineers license, making the model simple is not going to change the net outcome by anymore than the chuff of a gnat.
