DXF won't show up...

HI,
I am attaching a DXf file to start a new project. I click Attach DXF and the cursor stops as if the action has been completed but nothing appears on the screen. I look at the Active DXF layers tab and all the layers are listed, but still nothing on the screen. I've played around with different scale inputs and nothing works. Any insight...?
I've attached DXFs on a few previous pojects and never had a problem, till now, but i am not sure what i am doing differently!
thanks in advance!!

Hi,

Usually when you attach a dxf but then it's not visible this would be because of the scale of the dxf compared to your current zoom, try zooming in close or far out to see if the lines appear.

We have a guidance document on creating dxf for <VE>, I've uploaded this so you can download it here http://www.iesve.com/support/faq/pdf/ho ... utocad.pdf.

If you are still having problems with this one then post back here and I'll contact you so I can get a copy of it and have one of our modelling team take a look.

Hi Phil,

I'm having the same problem with the DXF file not showing up. Could you please relink the HowToCreateWorkingDXFinAutoCAD.pdf guide? It doesn't seem to be an active link.

Thanks,

marina

I had the same problem and realized that the color preferences had the dxf color white.
For a strange reason this is a default for a newly created project in VE 2013
In my case, that was the reason that the dxf didn't show up.
