Dear All...

I have made components and placed them in Model IIT. I can see them in model viewer.

But I cannot see them while doing lighting simulations. The component settings are alright in Radiance, all of them are switched on. But cannot be seen in the images generated after simulation.
Can somebody please help me with the problem..

Hi Reema ,
Could you please follow the following procedure ? If you have added the components to the Room correctly.

1) Start <VE> & Draw Room , Add components correctly & Save.
2) Switch to RadianceIES module.
3) Select a room , Check-On the 'Use Components' checkBox (From Radiance Bar) .
4) Select all the required components of the room & Click 'ON' button.
[Optional Step] : To cross-check wheather the components are added to the room.
a) Select a room.
b) Go 1 level down.
c) Select 'Component' list-item from 'Display mode' drop-down.
5) Important : Set the 'Eye position' & 'Focus position' correctly.

But I tried doing everything you suggested but the problem still persists.

I think there is some problem with program file. Some exe file is missing maybe...

Do you have any further suggestions?

Dear Reema ,

Please confirm the following check-list .

1) What operating system you are running on?
2) What versions of VE you have installed? (IES <VE> 6.1 is released ).
3) Is the project stored on the local machine C: Drive? (Please save the project on C: Drive & try the simulation).
4) Do you have any other versions of Radiance installed?
5) Does it work on any other machines in your department/office?

One more time , check whether you have added the components correctly , save in comonent library , view the summary before simulating (it should show - 'Include components -YES' ), view summary of components from 'Components settings' tab ('Show?' column) .

Try out this , if the problem still persists please do let me know.

Some problem might occurs in Radiance on overclocked computer, even this computer passed burnintest and prime95 test.
