IES-VE User Forum

Hi All,

I am an MSc student currently completing a masters dissertation. I will be using IES and would like to find out a bit more about its development, particularly what method it uses to run energy simulations. I have heard that it uses the factor response method (as apposed to finite difference equations) but I would like to validate this and get an idea of the priciples behinf the factor response method.

Any help, particularly being pointed to sources of information, would be much appreciated!

I would first of all point you towards the calculation methods documents that are published with the User Guides (access from the <VE> by clicking the Help menu >> User Guides then check the Thermal >> Reference section)
