SketchUp crashes on each start after plugin is installed

I've heard of something similar where the problem occurred when it was the blank start-up document that was used... if you do File>New or open an existing file there's no problem. Could you check that out for me?

The plug-in requires the later versions of MS-XML installed on the PC. Could you check to see that you've got WindowXP service pack 3 on there?

Are there any other plug-ins installed as well?
If so could you try removing them (temporary measure to check this out), restarting and check to see if error persists?

Hi fellas, I think this is mentioned by Phil in the "Known Issues / Workarounds" section.
The development guys have addressed this and the next update will avoid the need to do this as far as I'm aware.

Hi Kenny,

The latest version of the plug-in (it sounds like you have now downloaded public beta 2) does have improvements that were made to avoid clashes with other plug-ins but it sounds like there may still be more to do here.

I know for a fact that the IES SketchUp plug-in and Demeter don't play well together and results in an instant bugsplat on startup - do you have the Demeter plug-in installed?

I know 275 plug-ins is too many to start trying to localize the plug-ins that don't work well together but if you (or any user with a few less plug-ins???) could point me in the right direction then we can investigate this further and improve the IES VE plug-in to the point where there are no problems with other plug-ins.

If you find your SketchUp "plugins" folder (should be in C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 6\). Zip this up and email it to support@iesve.com. I'll pick it up from there and try to reproduce the crash, then I can start trying to find out what is causing it (the development team can hep here I hope).

Hi there,

I would guess this is due to a clash with the other plug-ins. If you remove the other plug-ins (uninstall these) then restart SketchUp do you get this error?
