Having spent all day happily working on the compliance module with a model prepared all week, IES now decides there's an adjacancy problem with the model (I've not changed the model at all today, and there were no problems reported last time I ran a Model-Settings check) Now I must spend time putting right something that wasn't a problem before. Why has it suddenly decided there's a problem now ? Sorry for the rant, but this really is the most frustrating software I have ever used, for so many reasons !

Re: Model-IT is driving me mad
Hi Jerry,
The best practice while drawing geometry is to put 'Grid' , 'Axis' , 'Model Endpoint' locks on.
Put your 'intersection=on' option on always ON from 'key-in' field.
Check your model whenever you draw a new shape in the design area , this may take few seconds each time but I am sure it will save your lot of time & you won't be in major trouble.
I would highly recommend you to go for "IES Training" program if you have not attended it.

Re: Model-IT is driving me mad
Thanks for the tips, but I already do all this, apart from check the model after each new zone, which I will do from now on.
Life isn't helped by the fact that moving a DXF file in IES with any degree of accuracy is impossible (IES just assume that everyone has Autocad and can move the DXF file before they import it - we're not all rich), or by the fact that the grid origin is not where you left it when you re-open the project (a bug that IES claim they can't replicate).

Re: Model-IT is driving me mad
I have raised this with the development team so hopefully we can get it fixed for you in a future update. Not sure why Support weren't able to reproduce this one but sometimes we do things in different ways and so miss an issue.the grid origin is not where you left it when you re-open the project
We are happy to receive notification of anything you believe is a bug but to make things easier please try to give as much detail as possible because if we can't reproduce it then we can't pass it to dev.
