Model Viewer without the roof/ceiling

How can you use the 'model viewer' without seeing the roof? i.e. using model viewer without the roof to look into each room from above.

Also, the same question applies to a building/room without a roof. When I haven't put a roof on the building/room and open 'model viewer' it shows what I am assuming is the ceiling, however, I would like to see into this building/room from above as well.

Thanks.

Hi Maccas / Huntervu28,
You can view a room without room.
Procedure:
1) Draw a room.
2) Select a room & click 'Move down one level' button from the toolbar.
3) Select 'component' from the 'Display mode' drop-down.
4) Now , click 'Model Viewer' button . You can view a room without roof , this is a workaround to view room without roof.

You can also go into each room & view from inside. This can be done using 'Go to room' function which is available in 'Model Viewer'.
Procedure:
1) Draw few rooms & click 'Model Viewer' button from the toolbar.
2) Now select a room & click 'Go to room funtion' button from the 'Model Viewer toolbar'.

I hope this has been of some help.

If you have not attended "IES Training" program , I would highly recommend you to go for it.

Vajindar, thanks, yea it has been helpful. What if I want to view it for the entire building as your method below works only for a single room. (As for training, you aren't coming to France so that would be a no on the training :))

huntervy28, I don't have that option available to me on the left panel so I couldn't apply your method.

Hi Maccas,
The 'Go to Room' function works for single room only.
About "IES Training" , the training is given by IES<VE> experts , I am quite sure you will gain lot of knowlege with this.
The training is of two type
1) Face to face.
2) Web training.
