editing template (*.mtd) files

Post by MahBumble »

Hi,

I'm trying to automate the process of creating templates. In my problem there are 100 identical systems and conditions, ASIDE from the internal gains, which vary across templates.

Any way to edit the .mtd files directly?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi there,

I know that some of the project files in a typical <VE> project can be manually edited (if you go down this route then always be very careful) however I am not aware of any way to manually edit template files outside the Building Template Manager, sorry.

Are there 100 variations of the gains? I can only think either slog through this in BTM or maybe if you grouped rooms you could then use Edit Group Attributes in apache view to assign the gains? That might not speed things up though.

Thanks Phil. Not unexpected - I only ask as I've been manually altering the ApPro profiles manually with success for some time now, but they're in simple text format. Unfortunately the internal gains are all different, beginning to slog through them now!
