Dear all,

I am getting the following errors when trying to export a Revit model I've made into VE:

Failed to create an instance of this activeX control
Error creating calculation process-please contact IES support

Kindly help me solve this problem. Thanks.

Dear Omar,
It seems like you have not installed the VE application correctly.
Please install the VE application correctly & give a try for the same.

The following pages on our website will help you more using plugins.
http://www.iesve.com/Software/Model-Bui ... it-plug-in
http://www.iesve.com/Software/Model-Bui ... Up-plug-in

I hope this has been of some help , please don't hesitate to contact if the problem still persists.

Hi Omar,

Further to Vajindar's advice can I ask what you currently have installed please (what versions of <VE> or VE-Ware and what Revit product you are using)? If you take a look in Add/Remove programs you should get this info.

If you have <VE> installed (the full Pro) then can you try running this and check if you get any errors when the software launches. Then try the plug-in again.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this and get the plug-in working for you soon.

Phil

I am facing a similar problem in Revit plug in. when I run the plug in for the first time it does well. but the next time i go to create the model from the same file it gives an error. and If I try again revit crashes. I am using revit 2012.

Hi,

If it runs fine the first time through then it could be a case that the permissions on the folder prevent you from overwriting the files that the plug-in creates (the gbXML, the VE project and other data you will see appears in the same folder as the .rvt file)

check those files and make sure they aren't read only. When you have exported the first time make sure that the VE is closed and none of those files are locked before exporting again, maybe even try deleting those files prior to using the plug-in to export again to be certain.
