3D Solar Gain

Hello. I am working on a project and I want to show the solar gains of the surfaces in colors in a 3D view for the building. I have seen something similar done with Autodesk's Ecotect, and I would really love to do the same with IES. I hope that's possible.

Hi,
This is something that is not available at the moment. I can't give any guarantee when this will be implemented but hopefully it's a graphical output we will be capable of offering in a future version.
The best I could offer just now (I know it's not quite what you are after ) would be in Vista Pro you can use the Variable Shading viewer to colour rooms by Solar gain (the value for the whole room rather than any surface though).
Hopefully this is another valuable tool we can add to the software soon (I'll mention it again to the decision makers up top).
