How to show Openings like riser

Post by kokaka »

Hi ya,

At the moment i am working on Hotel development where the hotel consists of 6 basement floors. In each basement floor there is an exhaust air duct shaft which is passing from basement 06 to basement 01 and to ground floor. Apparently all the shaft openings via the basements are complete open to atmosphere -in simple words when you are standing at shaft opening area in Base-06 floor, you can see the sky via the hollow openings in each basement floors.

I did creates the exhaust shaft opening area as one room in Basement 06 and did the same in each floors up to ground level and finally connected all those shaft opening areas/ rooms as one room.Apparently at the moment all the shaft opening rooms are closed rooms which has ceiling & floor areas . I am struggling to show those shaft has openings in each floor and is continuously open to atmosphere - that should look like complete shallow whole via the Exhaust air duct shaft in each basement floors.

Thanks in advance and reply would be appreciated

Cheers

I know its been answered quite a while ago. While i did included holes with in my model and then try to run the Apache sim in VE compliance, strange problem does appeared. For instant when i am in VE compliance (Apache sim- as default) I did click on Set building & system data > simulation settings i am unable include the macro flow link tab for Apache simulation. Does it happening because i have already created holes with in my model or some thing else. Apparently i do believe my query is clear to you phil and hope to see your reply.

Cheers

Hi,

The only reason the MacroFlo link checkbox wouldn't be available on the Simulation settings tab of Building and System data is if you don't have a MacroFlo license. You can check your current licenses via License Control or Troubleshooting (both accessed from the Help menu).

It could be if you have a shared network license one of your colleagues has locked out the MacroFlo license?

If you can't see anything wrong with your keys post back here and I'll contact you directly so we can resolve this with our keys team.
