Shutters

Post by cvrb2 »

One more question, is this possible to add some shutters to our windows? It would be perfect if I could create some daily/weekly/annual profiles about the openning/closing of these shutters. I know it's possible for the window in Macroflow so maybe there is the same for the shutter.
I know that in the UK shutter are not really used, but the house I'm modelizing for my project is located in France (Lyon) and it could be useful to close the shutter during the day in summer to avoid an overheating. It's also useful during the winter to fight against the cold.

Cheers.

Hi,

You can create shutters when you use "Construction database manager" in Apach. It is the party that manages the composition of the wall. In "Construction database manager" create a new glazed construction, and you can see of the top of the window "shading devices" option. Here, you can create a shutters. For more explanation, go to http://www.iesve.com/downloads/help/The ... tabase.pdf

You can find lots of information in "User guides" that you can find in "help" tab.

My knowledge about the transmission Factors (or transmittance) are limited, I don't really know what kind of value I have to put in the table corresponding to that when I'm configurating my shutters...
Even with the information of the User guide I'm not sure to understang.
Hope you could help me.
Cheers.
