Gaps between floors in the model viewer

Dear all,
I have imported a dxf file and constructed the model in ModelIT but when i view it in the 3D model viewer, the floors seem to "hover" over one another and there is a visible void between them where the solid floor slab should be. Is this normal? I have downloaded several IES model views from the internet and they all seem to show solid buildings without gaps between floors.
In order to diagnose my problem i´ve provided a quick summary of the steps i followed to arrive in this predicament:
-During the construct DXF process I went into the "settings" options and selected "tolerances".
-At this point I set the "maximum vertical separation tolerance" to 0.5m.
-When I came to add another floor to my model I firstly ensured that only the relevant layer of the DXF was turned on.
-I then went into the "setting" options and selected "tolerances" as before and set the "maximum vertical separation tolerance" to 0.5m.
-At this point i went into "heights" and defined the "base plane" of this floor at a height 0.3m above the ceiling of the room below.
If anyone can help me to get rid of these gaps I would be very grateful.
Many thanks in advance.
All the best,
M
