Maximum Number of Heating/Cooling Sources

Post by RedRocks »

Does anyone know a way of getting around the imposed maximum number (200) of Boilers/Chillers/DXs? I'm modelling a multistorey residential building with more than 200 zones and I want to model each space as a zone. I realise that I could combine some zones, double the units capacity, and hence reduce the accuracy of the model, but I'd rather model the building and systems as they are.

Maybe someone from IES could explain why there is a limit to the number of heating and cooling sources?

Hi,

That limit has been increased to 1600 in VE v6.4 so hopefully that is now enough to let you run your projects?

You can download the latest VE 6.4 from our website http://www.iesve.com/Software/Download-the-VE.
