Turning on heating and open windows at the same time

Post by KasperS »

Hello

When i simulate using MacroFlo in some periods the program both turn on the heat and open the windows at the same time. It happens when the temperature is right when it’s above the temperature when the windows open (24 C), but the heating is only set to turn on when the temperature is below 20 C, and it turns on exactly at the same moment as the windows open. The heating and cooling effect from opening the windows equals each other.

I have noticed i can reduce this by choosing a smaller time step, but i would like to know if i can remove this problem, because i want to use the calculations to see the heat demand too.

Kind regards

just for everyone else here that might be searching.. Kasper has answered his own question. The time-step is the reason... if you are using a massive time step then there's every chance the two trips will be contained within the same step - a smaller step should always be used where more detail is needed.
