Hi,

Since IES has the weather variables of wind direction and speed can it produce a wind rose? If not is there a program to be able to produce a wind rose from this data? Thanks

Regards

Ray

Dear Ray,
You can see Wind-Rose in our VistaPro module.

Procedure to see WindRose result:
You have to set the air flow characteristics using our 'MacroFlo' module then run Apache Simulation successfully with 'MacroFlo' link ON .
Once simulation is completed it will drive you to the 'Vista' module. Switch to 'VistaPro' module & click the 'WindRose' button from the toolbar.

Note: The 'WindRose' button on toolbar does not have tooltip (this issue will be sorted in our newer version). The windrose button is next to 'Comfort settings' button.

Then click the 'Option' button from 'Vista' bar & select 'Wind Rose settings' tab & make the 'Wind Rose' radio button 'ON'.

I hope this has been of some help.

The complete information about Wind Rose is explained in its user guide .

IES Training Program:
IES conducts a training program for all the modules for IES<VE> which is really beneficial to the new user. Ray , if you have not attened it then I would strongly recommend you to go for it. You can book a session for it.
