Hi,

I've been working on a 2006 building for a while now, now I need to lodge the as built EPC. I understand the only way to lodge a new EPC is using 6.4, but when I run the EPC in 6.4 it comes with an asset rating of 5 instead of 0. I believe this is due to carbon factors.

I can't have the EPC go up from 0 to 5, it was designed to the 2006 building regs so the EPC should be lodged according to these regs. any idea how I can do this please?

Hi,

I think this is a question being asked by a few assessors at the moment but it's not one I have an answer for really. The changeover to 2010 regs for EPC lodgement was well publicised as April 11 and any 2006 regs EPC could be lodged before then but now it has to be done using 2010 regs (our current approved version for this is VE 6.4.0).

We still give the option to generate 2006 regs EPC using VE 6.1.1.2 but this won't generate XML and won't be able to lodge.

We can't do any more than this as we are all following the CLG guidance so all I can do is suggest you raise it with them.
