Hi,
I am running sketchup 7 & 8 on windows xp sp 3 and installed the plugin to both versions. After installation I opened sketchup 8 and found that all of the dialog boxes are completely blank! I thought it maybe a conflict with plugins (Shaderlight and Podium), but now I have removed everything including your plugin and then installed and removed each separately, so that only one at a time, but nothing appears when I click on any of the plugins except the name of the dialog box.

Obviously I can't use your plugin with my others, but how can I get my original paid for plugins to work again with Sketchup 8?

I was going to try and your plugin with sketchup 7 and the others with sketchup 8 - is there any way this can work?

Thanks

Hi,
This is really strange!!! :o
I have not heard of such problem. IES Google SketchUp plug-in does not clash with other plug-ins.
Just a suggestion , Could you please install the updates from Microsoft & give a try for installation.
If you still face a problem then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hi,

Not sure what has happened here but to hopefully get your other plug-ins working again try the following (incidentally I have never heard of the IESVE plug-in breaking other plug-ins for Sketchup like this)

1. Uninstall all the plug-ins using Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs
2. browse to your SketchUp installation plugins folder (most likely C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 8\Plugins) - note you need to do this for any version of SketchUp installed
3. Delete any remaining plug-in files still in the plugins folder that were not removed by the uninstall - these should be clearly marked e.g. the IESVE plug-in is IESLink.rbs and the IESLink folder
4. After you have cleared the plugins folder launch SketchUp to ensure all is behaving as expected (this will also help to clear out any legacy from the uninstalled plug-ins)
5. install the plug-ins again one by one and confirm each time they are working by launching SketchUp after installation

If you can then I'd like you to try again with the IESVE plug-in, Vajindar's ideas to ensure you have all the latest Microsoft updates is a good one. If you choose to persevere with this I'd appreciate an update back here and if you encounter further problems hopefully I will be able to assist you.

Good luck,
Phil
