Re: Error: UA Mismatch

Dear john221,
I think our Support team has answered your question by email.
This is for other users who has/may encounter the same problem.
This problem was seen in a Chilled Beam System.
In this case the error message was related to the ‘effective area’ calculation that the chilled beam module runs when calculating convective heat transfer from the beam. The problem occurred because they were using un-realistically high values for output per beam, in this case 500kW.
To remedy this we suggested the use of more realistic values, this maybe in the order of 2/5/10/20 kW but unlikely to be 500kW.
The important point was to remember the chilled ceiling type’s setup should be used as an ‘instance’ and not represent the whole building. These instances can then be used again and again at room level.
When we were checking their model we set a smaller value say 10 or 20kW and I didn’t get the UA Mismatch error anymore.
We’ll check this out for you but as you are more familiar with your network perhaps you could check this as well as it might be faster.
Thanks Support Team for your valuable information.
I hope this has been of some help for forum users.
