Supply air coming from another room

Post by amymaxim »

Hi, I would like to ask how to model the conditions that the supply air that I give to my builiding I take is from another room. In another words, instead of taking air from outside and then send it to the heat exchanger, heating coil and to the room, I take it from one room and then to the heat exchanger.

In Building Manager, when selecting auxiliary ventilation there is an option to say instead of external ir, temperature profile. I create a temperature profile that just says:

00:00 tdr(2)
24:00 tdr(2)

In the room that I take the air from has higher temperatures thatn the external air, however, my boiler load increses doble and it appears chiller load in months like January (where during some times the room temp is lower than the exteranal). Shouldnt i use less boiler load because instead of getting temperatures of -10 i am getting air with a temp. of +1??

How can I model this properly??

Thank you in advance

Dear Support team,

Nobody replied to the doubt I have and I don´t know if it is because it is not possible or maybe I didn´t express myself correctly.

What I am modeling is a house inside a green house. Therefore what I would like to do is take in the air from the green house for my Apache Sys instead of exteranal air (which corresponds to the outdoors weather conditions).

I have tried this by changing in the Building manager air exchanges the condition of external air for a profile that I created. Of course, the templete corresponds to the internal temperature of the green house. However, the logical result would be a reduction of the boiler load because my intake has a higher temperature that when getting the air from outside, but this is not happening, my boiler load doubles!!!

How is it possible to model shuch a system?

I would appreciate any answer.

Thank you ParkLife, I didn't know that option existed.

However, I have trieded but I still get high boiler loads, I checked the graphs and the the boiler in the model with external air acts differently from the one with the adjacent ventilation. Being this last one much higher in average.

Do you know why is this happening?
