Users Guide/forum

Post by KasperS »

Hello

When redoing the Users guide, wouldn't it be usefull if in the guide after each of the small sections there would be a link to the forum threads about the subject. Often you are not 100 % sure about something and some of the forum posts answers this without making the Users guide even longer than it already is.

Hi,
I think User guides are for learning purpose & forum is for discussing issues & solve the queries of the user.
Maintaing threads in user guides would be difficult if the number of posts goes beyond limit & there is a possibility that , the undiscovered issues added later after completing user guides.

Our user guides has improved a lot & we are in process to improve it more. If you compare the older HVAC user guide & the new user guide , you will find a major difference, & now it explains each component in greate detail.
Thanks & Regards ,

I see where you're coming from but really this is more a question of advertising the IES User Forum and Knowledge Base http://www2.iesve.com/Support/Knowledge-Base better. The User Guide and training notes would be the first resource and afterward if there is a query then check the User Forum and Knowledge Base (you can search in both of these and will also find they are broken down into a structure matching the VE applications)
