hi there,
1. this is covered in the known issues thread, here's the text to save you clicking it:
This happens when any new SketchUp project is created. To workaround you simply have to save the project, close Sketchup then reopen the project. Now you will find that any Location you select will be stored and the correct latitude and longitude are passed to <VE>.
This will be fixed in the next public beta version of the Plugin for Google SketchUp. Until then be careful to ensure the correct weather data is applied by confirming the Longitude and Latitude in <VE> Building Properties are applied before any calculations are run.
2. I don't think we have any known issues here. Please can you provide some more detail on this issue so I can investigate further.
3. There's a new FAQ in this one, basically:
"Yes you should add doors to the model so that the <VE> will take into account their U-values when running Toolkits calculations. Doors can be added to external and internal walls in the same way - draw them as a surface on the wall surface and apply a material texture with 100% opacity. The Construction of the door is then added using the <VE> Construction Sets when you are applying the Constructions for the rest of the model or room. The doors dropdown offers a range of doors with pre-set U-values so you don't need to worry about inputting the Thickness or any other thermal properties.
Note: If you want to represent a glazed door then you should add a translucent (1-99% opacity) material texture and define the door as a window."
4. Wall/Floor thicknesses are not imported to <VE> from SketchUp yet. The 2 options you have are to model the ceiling and floor above as one surface and assign an appropriate construction or model the ground floor up to the ceiling as a room then the ceiling to the floor above as another room (you can give this the Room Type 'Plenum' so it is not occupied or conditioned).
I hope this has helped.

Finding Rooms...
Hey Kevin
Just to confirm that one of my colleagues has sorted this out via email?
I think the problem was that a lot of corridors that were not physically touching were joined up as one space... is this correct?
David.

Re: couple of issues with VE building properties
The issue you have had with Location resetting is dealt with in the next release of the plugin.
We have never been able to reproduce the problems you are having with the Constructions. Could you please provide more details of what the problem is and how to reproduce this please. Feel free to post on this forum or send a quick email to support@iesve.com.
