How to copy and edit identical floors in highrise buildings?

I am wondering if there is any tool which I can create the entire typical floor as a block or component so that after copying it to make a high-rise building I will be able to edit the geometry of only one of them in order to change all copied floors.
Another option would be to model only one typical floor and apply a multiplier number so that you do not have to copy identical floors.
QUESTION: What would be the most practical method to go around this issue in IES-VE?

Hi,
I can't think of any way to dynamically link the floors in ModelIT after you have copied them. They will be unique after that so I'd suggest the best bet is to try to do as much of the work before copying up to the other floors.

Is there a way to find and replace the room names for these identical rooms? I have the same room names on several different floors. I want to replace the 4th floor with the 5th floor and so on. Thanks

Yes! I can actually help with this.
Select the rooms whose names you wish to edit and type "rename" into the key-in box at top left of the workspace. You will then be presented with a Find and Replace style dialog that can be used to replace existing text in the room names with whatever you like.
use # as a fast way to generate numbering 1,2,3,4,....
