Hello,
I have a quick question for which i didn't find an answer yet.
Does VE express the energy as "primary energy"? (example: multiply by 2.5 for electricity)
I'm comparing VE to static software EPB (used in Belgium) and EPB expresses everything in primary energy.
Energy expressed as primary energy?

Re: Energy expressed as primary energy?
Hello
I am pretty sure IES uses end use energy, because the factors are different for different countries, and if they did, some people would have problems figuring out how much energy their building is actually using. Expressing it in primary energy can be a good thing for a program which is only used in 1 country, but IES has to be used in many different countries, and therefore they have to express the energy which is common for everybody.
