I like IES ve because it is easily one of the best simulation and analysis soft wares around. Also, given that it can be proactively used at every step of the building design process, it’s a very useful tool for architects, engineers and designers. So while it is helpful in the various decision making stages, there are other advantages too, such as the fact that it is interoperable with BIM-Revit and Sketchup. As a designer whether you want quick energy numbers within the Revit interface, or a more detailed analysis, IES provides those... and as an architect, I feel that it can validate your design with actual data.

I like IES VE because it is simply, easy simulation and analysis software tools. Additionally, help to give an indication for currently existing design for the project and can easy to be improving by adding the decision making strategies to have better indoor environment and energy efficiency consumption . I strongly recommend to use it, its very easy to learn too and not complicated it . The data results are accurate too.

Vajindar keeps trying to create a thread for "I hate" but some pesky admin keeps deleting it...
Anyway we don't hate, we provide constructive feedback

I like this "new" Tabular Edit feature in Apache and would like to see it elsewhere too. How about Templates? Systems? and the old favourites: Profiles and Constructions? Copying and pasting from Excel would be fantastic for these areas and save me loads of time. I can then bypass the rotten interface for entering data the IES way. We could have Excel sheets set up with standard data and apply them to any project - currently I use repository projects but exchanging (and reporting) input data isn't as easy as using a spread sheet would be.
