Heat flux CFD

Post by francoa »

Hi,

I would like to simulate a TV with heat losses only on the back and there is no heat flux on front of the TV.
Is it possible to simulate this TV with heat flux on the back? Is the flux faced? Or, to simulate this as a radiator ?

I try to simulate with a heat flux on the back, but it' the same as the radiator...

Someone can help me?

Thanks

If you click down on to a surface of a component in component mode you can add most of the boundary conditions available to add to walls etc. in surface mode.

All boundaries except for porous and fan boundaries are valid. You can ignore the bit in red as it doesn't apply to your case but I have added it for completeness. You should not use a fan or porous boundary on a component surface because those boundaries need to have air both sides of them in the computational domain so can only be used (at present) on "holes" between thermal model zones.

Therefore you can add a heat flux boundary condition just to the back face of the TV. Just make sure that no heat flux is added to the whole component in general in the "place component" window as well.
