Crack length

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding setting the crack length (% of opening perimeter) in MacroFlo.

In the User guide it says that a crack length GREATER than 100% is appropriate for sash windows, is this because the typical sash window has an extra "crack" in the window where, for example, the bottom pane of the window can be pushed up or down? therefore the % of the perimeter is greater than 100% because the actual crack length would be the perimeter plus the length of the middle? Am I understanding this correctly?

Thanks very much!

yes this would be an example of when the crack length is greater than 100% of opening perimeter, you will find MacroFlo Opening Types interface has larger upper limits on some inputs than you might expect, this is to allow the user to represent any non-standard openings that they are modelling.

What about louvers? If it's, say 50% openable area, are we supposed to assume it's the same for the crack length?
