Glass Curtainwall assignment/with windows

I am having an issue with how to create an exterior wall as a glazzed curtainwall. ApacheSim will not let me make a custom wall with glazing as one of the assemblies, does anyone have a trick for making this?

I need it to be a wall since i am modeling a natural ventilation option with windows in this wall.

Thank you for the help!

Hi,

You should model this as a glazed opening(s) otherwise it will be treated opaque and as you have found you won't be allowed to assign glazed constructions.

There's a bit in the knowledge base on this too http://www2.iesve.com/Support/Knowledge ... sectionId=

I have built the Glazed wall and now I want to make 1 of the windows in the wall operable for computation in Microflow. ow do I select only specific windows for simulation?

I guess you can set the properties of the window in MicroFlo itself. Sorry this isn't an area I'm too familiar with

In general in VE select a window by first select the room, then go down a level of decomposition (blue down arrow above workspace), then you can select the wall that contains the window and go down another level of decomp, then change the dropdown above the workspace that says "Adjacency" and make sure it says "Opening" - you can now select the window itself.

That's generic interface for the whole VE so hopefully it helps you do what you need to do here.

ok, sounds like you at least know how to get to the window in the interface. Maybe Liam can assist us with the MicroFlo part?

Actually, to increase chances of getting help here - can you just describe what it is you're trying to do and what problems you are hitting?
