Assigning floor only possible by changing ceiling beneath?

Post by DS40 »

Hi,

I am modelling a multistorey building and want to change the floor construction of a room. Although I can change all other surfaces I cannot change its floor. It is possible to go to the room beneath it and change the ceiling. Is this the correct solution?

Thanks

yes that's right, in the VE model the internal floor of the room above and ceiling of the room below are the same element and share the same construction.

Currently the only way to edit this would be by editing ceiling of the lower room but there might be a way in future versions of VE to be able to modify this as the int floor in the room above
