Ventilation rate 'DAILY AVERAGE'

I have modelled rooms with openings in Macroflo but now need to check compliance with ventilation criterion: daily average ventilation rate above 160 l/s during occupied period.

How do I determine the 'daily average'? I can determine the Macroflo external ventilation rate with a range test in Vista for the occupied hours but this doesnt give me a daily average. I also tried using average (mean) value in synopsis but cant get a 'daily average'.

Is there a way of doing this?

yip - something that would be nice within vista but is reasonably easy (if annoyingly time consuming) in excel.
get yourself familiar with the old VBA in Excel and you can do some nice things (that arguably should be in ies already perhaps)

Sorry guys, although Vista is constantly being reviewed and tweaked (see VistaPro which I've heard will get better over the next few releases) quite often the best advice we can offer is to export the data and stick it in Excel and do the sums there, it gives you so much more freedom if you are a skilled user

Hi Phil,

Yeah - I think most people tend to use Excel for a lot of things... I know I certainly do and I'm happy to do so because in reality when I'm presenting results I would rarely use anything directly out of vista other than the plots.

Sorry if I came across as a little pass-remarkable before but a kind of SQLesque result query in Vista would be really cool and tie that in with a nice spreadsheet looking results grid would open the field up and probably stop people needing to go outside vista as much.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to the new Vista/Pro (why there are two vistas is perhaps a question for another day).

Zap.
