Merging models

Post by KasperS »

Hello

I have been working on multiple models, because the hospital i am modeling is too large to model in 1 single model. However, when we are close to the end i would like to do a full model and just let it stand and run (might take a day or 2 to do a simulation).
Can i somehow merge the different models, so i wouldnt have to draw the entire model again? The hospital is 44000 m2, so it would take way too long to model all of it again.

Only way I know to get the geometry in would be via GEM at which point you'd lose all your thermal data assignments so after bringing in the geometry you'd still have to reassign Constructions, MacroFlo openings etc. I assume the thermal templates and profiles would already be in the new project so would be a case of reassigning these and then any room overrides could probably be quickly applied by grouping rooms then using Edit Group Attributes or Tabular Edit.

Would still be some work to do but this method if done in a structured way would still be faster than starting from scratch.
