modulating occupancy profile

Post by Mark A Lowe »

Hi

Ive just starting using the software and have come across an issue with how the simulation works.

If i have a profile which give occupancy start at 8:00 untill 18:00 why does the output from the simulation start the occupancy at 7:30. i have adjusted the simulation and reporting time periods which does elevate the issue but is this the corrrect way to do this, im down to 6min intervals.

Thanks

If i understand your question correct, then i have experienced the same. Seems like IESVE always is working in 30 min before the profile was actually set to begin. Dont know if it means that much in the end result, unless you have some very strict profiles and need to know it on a time basis.

hi,

the effect you are seeing will be down to timestep and reporting interval, reduce to 6 minutes and you will see across the period 8:57 and 9:03 a profile that switches on at 9 will be seen to gradually increase. In the simulation this switches on at 9 but for reporting on say a chart it is displaying 0 at 8:57 and 1 at 9:03 so it shows the change over that 6 minute period.

Hope that clarifies
