hi everyone :D
I have used 3 types of glazing in my model. The spaces are set to a constant temperature of 24 C. in the template

after performed the ApacheSim the, the energy consumption was clearly different
but when i tried to set the natural ventilation using MacroFlow and performed the ApacheSim again, the energy consumption was more than the one without natural ventilation :!: :!:

when i performed the MacroFlow, somtimes during the day, the air temperature went down below 24 C , so thats mean the energy consumption should be less :!:

could you help me.

Hi,

this will likely be due to the way the conditioning is set up, although the nat vent may be reducing the temperature in the rooms you might actually find this is prompting cooling energy that you didn't require before.

Choose a typical room and get stuck into the results in Vista, there you can see for that room the heating and cooling that is going on over a day, the MacroFlo gains/losses etc and you should be able to tie them together to see a pattern. Perhaps refining the MacroFlo opening type for the windows will give you a better control so you get the full benefit of the natural ventilation.

Seeing it in action like this is a great exercise for understading the model
