Dear All,
I would like to find out the methodology on how to create a component through sketchup. eg.A room with a custom blind has been drawn in SketchUp. I've managed to convert/launch VE through IES plug-in. The blind that i've created appeared as shading in IES. Can the property of the blind be edited?
Any other method?
How to save SketchUp model as IES component?

Hi,
I'm not quite sure what else you hope to achieve with the blind - surely it would be a shade in the VE model to obstruct the light?
If you want to make it a component in VE, just delete the room then export the remaining (blind) geometry as a GEM file, you can then import this to the Component Modeller and and save the blind as a Component.

Thanks Phi,
I've managed to save the blinds as a component.
The reasons of making it as component so i could assign material on the blind as per actual properties.
