Hi
I would like to know if it is possible to add materials to the IES Plug in Revit
Thanks

Re: Materials
Hi,
There is no way to edit the Materials (Constructions) available for use in the IES VE plug-ins. The pre-defined set is designed to allow different analyses to be run on designs using VE-Ware or Toolkits.
If you need to run more advanced analysis using VE-Gaia or Pro applications then you will have the option at that point to use Constructions Database to create and assign custom constructions.

Re: Materials
Hi!
Phill, I'll extend Paola's question... When I define the wall/roof materials in Revit, can it be "seem" by the plug-in, and consequently, be exported to IES?
Thanks,
Luana

Re: Materials
no you only have the option to select from the pre-defined set in the plug-in, if you are exporting to VE then all custom model setup is done there

Re: Materials
Just to elaborate on that slightly: currently the Revit materials do not contain all the relevant physical parameters that are required for a full thermal simulation. Hence why VE materials must still be used within the VE.

Hi!
Thanks for the answer! It really clarified things! =)

Re: Materials
Further to Vajindar's advice can I ask what you currently have installed please (what versions of <VE> or VE-Ware and what Revit product you are using)? If you take a look in Add/Remove programs you should get this info.
