Hi,
I am working on daylighting methods for an upper floor retail building including rooflights and simulated light pipes...
I was wondering whether it is possible to determine the thermal gains of these strategies on ies? Is there any way to analyse these thermal gains?
Thermal Gains of Daylighting Strategies
Re: Thermal Gains of Daylighting Strategies
Hi,
Not quite sure what you mean but
If you mean solar gain then yes use SunCast then run a simulation to see this
If you mean reduce the lighting gains in the model based on the calculated daylight then this can be achieved via Dimming profiles as has been covered elsewhere on this forum and in the Knowledge Base http://www.iesve.com/support/knowledgeb ... height=90%
