Hi,
Im conducting a study on the effect of building material properties such as reflectivity, transmissivity and absroptivity.
And I'm in need to analyse the external and internal surface temperatures of walls, roof and windows.
But the Vista results only show up a single surface temperature, which is the inner surface.
How should I obtain the external surface temperature.
Please assist!!
Thank you!

Re: External Surface Temperature
I don't believe there is any way to get the external surface temperature from VE, you could try sending over a request to feedback@iesve.com so it is considered for a future version by the development team.

Re: External Surface Temperature
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I did feedback to IES about it.
Is there a possibility to export the IES model to Google sketch up and energy plus. I have noted that Google Sketch up model can be imported in to IES.
However I have already construct my model in IES and I need to obtain external surface temperature, which can be done in Energy Plus.
Please advise if there is a possibility to export the IES model to Google sketch up or directly to energy Plus.
Thank you.

There's no export from VE, sorry

Hi kumudini1,
Did you have any answer from IES feedback regarding this subject? What do you mean when you say the surface temperature refers to the inner surface?

Re: External Surface Temperature
You can export the geometry from IES to Sketchup using the 'Export as DXF' options. Use the Polysurface options. You can't take any of the intelligence with it, and it's usually a bit flaky for large or complicated geometry.
