Hello all,
I am a student and I have just got access to IES version 6.4.0.11. I have a lot of experience with Sketchup and I have played around with the VE-Ware plug in before on another computer.
I have 6.4.0.11and Sketchup 8 Pro installed installed at the moment, but when I try to install the IES VE -Ware Sketchup plug in I get an error saying: A newer version of this product has already been detected on your system. Please note IES VE-Ware/toolkit cannot be installed on a system which has IES Virtual Environment.
Is there any way I can still use Sketchup as before with VE-Ware to build my models and import them into 6.4.0.11?
If so can you help me out on how to do this.
P.S During the installation of 6.4.0.11 a box popped up, and before I got a chance to read it I hit cancel by mistake, maybe I mist out on part of the installation. I do not mind installing again, but i am afraid I might then require a new license.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Can I build modles in sketchup 8 and importe into 6.4.0.11

Hi,
VE-Ware is a different product to VE-Pro, as you already have VE=Pro then all you need is the IESVE plug-in for SketchUp which you can find via the Support Centre knowledge base http://www.iesve.com/support/knowledgebase/faq/3028
On a side note, you can uninstall and reinstall as often as you like after you have activated the licence key, the keys file will stay where it is and when you install the new VE you can direct it to use the same key in that location without issue.
