Does anyone know if the Construct DXF command still functions in IES? I have spent several hours making changes to my DXF file in an attempt to get the "Construct DXF" command to be enabled and have had zero success.

I have gone as far as to create a new dxf file with a simple rectangle and an offset rectangle inside of that (to assure that the objects are closed). This attempt was not fruitful!

The documentation from IES does not mention a dxf version, could that be an issue? I am saving the file as a 2010 dxf using AutoCAD MEP 2011.

Hi Chet,

It should indeed work fine, there was a problem with it in the original VE 2012 release but that was quickly resolved in an update. If you grab the latest version from our download centre then you should be able to use the Construct DXF command on any good quality DXF file you attach
