Turn Off NCM
Turn Off NCM
A nice feature within profiles, templates, gains, vents etc would be to hide the NCM stuff. It swamps them making things more difficult if you have numerous differing room types and applications. Drives me mad.
Re: Turn Off NCM
A very good suggestion, would be nice to be able to do this. What we have discussed a lot in house and what I expect to see would be more filtering in the different parts (see tabular template manager, new tab edit in CDB etc fro parts that are already done) so you can sort and filter to remove the NCM. Profiles Database is another obvious candidate for this and we may see it next...
There is great value in having the data there to view, copy etc (and some softwares that interface to NCM (unnamed) would hide this from you) but to make models manageable we need smarter ways of not having to see it the rest of the time.

Yes it is very useful to be able to see what the calculation uses. But when I am cycling through mine making changes having them hid/filtered would stop my eyes bleeding. Plus sometimes my ones hide amongst the NCM and i miss editing them with the consequences that when running loads and not compliance my loads are wrong.
Make it so please.

Re: Turn Off NCM
+1 on this.
It would be great to have a global setting that would hide all NCM profiles, constructions, MacroFlo settings, internal gains, aux vent etc. from all parts of the software (but not from Room Query and places like that).
You could then turn it back on if needed but for 99% of the time you don't need to see it and it gets in your way.

Re: Turn Off NCM
Hi, I would also really like to see this.
The NCM constructions and profiles have wound me up to the point where I keep separate IES projects for work on the real and actual buildings.
Setting the NCM building type seems to be the trigger that brings all the NCM stuff in, so I try to avoid setting this if I am working in apache.
The drag down menu in ve compliance that can either be set to 'actual' or 'notional' would be the obvious trigger for showing the NCM data. It works well for the systems so why not use it out across the board.

Re: Turn Off NCM
Another one for this! Lists of NCM constructions get really annoying. Would be good if they were hidden
