Hi , I am a student try to simulation a high rise building model in subtropical climate,as we know nature ventilation can help reducing cooling demand for AC, I don't have a clear idea now how can I set my Macroflo type or thermal templates help reducing cooling demand.for example, I set if indoor temperature above 26 degree the AC would turn on and hence, can I set window will open when outdoor temperature is below 26 that can help move indoor heat to outside? my feeling it is a quite comprehensive problem....

Not sure my cutting comments will help but...
...you are in control of when the cooling comes on through your cooling profile in the room data (or template) you have assigned.
Your question on opening a window in regards to outside temperature - yes, you can do this. Read the section in the IES guide that describes formula profiles - they list the variables you can react to there.
Remember - this is simply a simulation program. No matter how much we all want to blame it for its failings (of which there are many) it is simply a black box... feed numbers in, it does calcs and numbers are fed out. It's that simple. Many people on this board (and Allah only knows how many direct to IES) seem to think that the calculation program itself should supply all answers to all questions.
