EPC Carbon Factor

Post by richarda »

Afternoon

When completing an EPC for a new build, bascially is it acceptable to modify the fuel of the gains at room level, in theory changing the carbon factor of teh fuel used.

For example change the lighting system to use waste heat instead of Electricity for example.

I dont know if this is covered anywhere in the regulations, but if it is, i cant seem to find it.

Cheers

The gains are part of the NCM Templates which you don't have many options to modify so no I don't think you can do this. If not explicitly stated in the NCM modelling Guide and support regs docs then maybe BRE or your accreditation scheme can comment further.
