Can I purge unused templates?

Hi All,

I was a bit eager when I started using IES for the first time, and I imported lots of templates (Apachie profiles, micro flow templates, construction databases etc). now when I go to adjust my model, which has all bespoke profiles, I have to scroll through literally 1000's of profiles to find the ones I made. Is there any way to purge unused profiles etc? Can I go into the project file on the shared folder and do this without causing damage to my model?

Hi,

I really don't advise you go deleting from the project files. ApPro has a multiselect that you can use to delete lots of profiles at same time. If the selection includes any profiles in use in the model then it will inform you and you won't be able to delete that one. You should work from annual, then weekly then finally daily otherwise you'll be prevented from deleting any that are referenced at the level above.

Similarly you can get rid of templates using a multiselect in Building Template Manager.

VE will help you and shouldn't let you delete anything referenced in your project but as always take care with this.
