Glad to hear you managed to get the plugin working for you.
I have never used DataCAD so can't comment on the quality of model transfer from DataCAD to SketchUp (maybe other users on this forum have some more experience to share?) but I guess some rooms in the model are not fully enclosed volumes and this is why they don't get recognised by the IES plugin. You should review all of the surfaces of the rooms that are not recognised to ensure they do not have any gaps between them.
Another thing to look out for is Components and Groups as these are not recognised by the IES plugin for SketchUp public beta 1 (although in the next version you will have the option to define any groups/components as Rooms, Shading Surfaces or exclude them)
