Adjusted Glazing Radiant Values and Manufacturers Data

Post by Richardo1505 »

Hi all,

Can anyone help, trying to create double glazed unit with Pilkington Soncool 66/33. Have read Constructions Database User Guide IES Virtual Environment 2012 Feature Pack 2, section 13.1 Manufacturers’ data. page 50. It says to adjust the reflectance, absorptance and transmittance values of the glass unit until the shading coefficients values match those provided by the glass manufacture. However I cannot find the absorptance value to adjust, can you help please?

Thanks all,

Hi Rich,

Do you mean Suncool?

If you go to the constructions database and abcp or something you can tweak all the values that you want.

if I have time later I will upload a screenshot, however others on this forum can help.

Hey Marc,

yes Suncool, ooppps........ ;) The problem I'm having is under the Construction Database there's no input cell or value for absorptance, only transmittance and reflectance (outer).

Hi,

I answered this on another thread recently but not sure if it was for you.

Absorptance is displayed for opaque constructions only, you are looking at glazing.
