Can't Hide Groups that are "Whole Rooms"

I have noticed that when you use the IES plugin to specify that a group is "Whole Room(s)", it will lock it and prevent you from being able to hide it.

I find this a bit frustrating when there is a problem with the geometry and you want to isolate a particular group to edit it.

I either end up putting the groups on "Excluded" or exporting my model a few groups at a time.

Is there a better work around? On way would be to hide things using layers but this isn't ideal.

Perhaps the plugin could be improved by enabling this.
