Hi,
What is the best way of adding a low-e glazing film to an existing double glazed glazing construction? I don't seem to be able to add it as an extra layer, so do I modify one of the glazing panes to have the equivalent properties. I'm not quite sure what the equivalent properties would be for a pane of glass + film.

Hi,

Most comments I've seen related to this point out that the low-e coating is most usually applied to the inside surface of the outer layer of glass, in CDB this is usually taken into account via the cavity by setting an appropriate air gap resistance to represent the effects of the coating.
