Hi.. I have three issues to be clarified.
1. I need to do detailed HVAC system modeling for a multi storey office building. there are more than 100 rooms spread over 10 floors in the building. Is it possible to model HVAC system for all the rooms.
2. How to model Plenum chamber? should it be modeled as a room above the ceiling or be considered as shading devices???
3. Is it possible to model VFD in Apache HVAC??

1) Yes, the multiplex feature should allow this
2) A plenum should be modelled as an unconditioned room. I do not think a shading device is appropriate because that would not allow heat transfer between internal surfaces
3. I don't know what VFD is but if you mean CFD then, no HVAC is not the program for that. IES has a different module called "Microflo" which will allow for basic CFD work but for complex or critical models you are best using a dedicated CFD package like CFX or Flovent.

VFD variable frequency/speed drive used to control the speed of fans/pmps as per load requirement.. is it possible to model???

Yes, variable speed fans are possible to model under HVAC by using a proportional bandwidth controller.
